A Noble Quest

The witterings of a sorely deluded soul who enjoys debate with herself and others.

Jesus, Homosexuality and Love: Is it too much to ask?

I just want to be accepted for who I am, who God made me. I want to be accepted alongside my girlfriend and I want to serve the Lord with her. I am a lesbian and a Christian and the Lord Jesus Christ has freed me, not from my sexuality, no, from the fear. Why should I be frightened of those who damn me?
I am more than their judgements. I am more than tradition. I am more than inequality.
And I shall fight.
To end this injustice.
This torture.
This hatred.
Christianity is not about hatred but there are far too many of us Christians who are about hate, rather than love, loving family, friends and enemies alike. Why can’t I be loved for who I am?
I admit I have flaws, I sin, I have my issues. But my sexuality is not one of those.
Indeed, whether a person is straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, asexual, pansexual, it is because the Lord made it so, not from sin. Our Father created a beautiful, diverse, bewildering, magical spectrum of sexualities, do not force all others to conform to one. Let them be.
I pray that righteousness shall endeavour. That the persecution ends. I cry out to You Father to open up the hearts of us all and to make us love more, even just a little! Let us understand one another more. In the name of Jesus Christ, set the LGBT* community free from the bondage of Christian hatred and let them soar on the wings of love!
The world is changing, bit by bit, and slowly but surely the world shall except love.
